Yaowaluck Nakkong Wins 200,000 Pound Bingo Jackpot

A female chef working in West Suffolk who began playing bingo only 6 months ago, is now planning to pay off her home mortgage and take a 4 week vacation after winning the 200,000 pound Jackpot Prize of the National bingo game on December 10, 2006 at the Winner's Club, located in Bury St. Edmonds.

53 year-old chef, Yaowluck Nakkong, is just one of many that are playing this increasingly sophisticated game. At first, the winner did not understand what was happening since her English is not very good. Yaowluck Nakkong, a grandmother of one, has been a resident of Britain for almost 6 years. She has 2 children, a daughter that lives with her in Britain and a son that lives in Bangkok, Thailand. The winner said that she is very happy with her win. Ms. Nakkong currently works as a chef at Sangdao Thai Restaurant on High Street, Newmarket where all her co-workers have expressed happiness regarding her win.

For the Winner's Club, this is the biggest win in the club's history. Club Manager, John Markerson, said that before this win by Ms. Nakkong, they had a 104,000 pound winner. It was just astounding. Play stopped for a few minutes because everybody was cheering for her. The winner completed the bingo full house in just 37 calls, the lowest number of calls in all 500 clubs participating in the National Bingo Game across the country. Despite her win, Ms. Nakkong plans to continue to work in the kitchen of the Sangdao Thai Restaurant for their customers in Suffolk.
