The opening of Buckingham Bingo at Gateway Park in New Hall Lane, Preston, which can accommodate about 1,000 customers, will be on March 8, 2007.
The special guest for the opening will be Wendi Peters, who portrays Cilla Battersby-Brown on Coronation Street. Tickets for the opening date are already selling fast. The General Manager, Stuart Leek, commented that they are already expecting a sell-out crowd at their Bingo games.
He describes the new Bingo hall as aesthetically beautiful with all its aspects like their facilities, employees and even their lighting suited for the taste of their customers. The following day, March 9, 2007, Jim "Bullseye" Bowen will be the special guest at the Bingo hall. Before even opening, the club already has 12,000 plus members.
Regular and first-time customers from Blackburn, Chorley, Blackpool, Southport and even Lancaster are expected to come to the opening. About 4.1 million pounds were spent in the construction of the casino, which is the largest investment ever made by Buckingham in a Bingo hall.
New Hall Lane Preston is the first newly constructed Bingo club by Buckingham Bingo since the organization was brought by Alchemy Partners for about 90 million pounds in December 2005.
