I have fond memories from the nights I used to go with my grandmother to her weekly bingo night. Those were the nights I saw her transform from a kind little old lady into a money-grubbing vixen who wouldn't let anyone get in her way. We would go every Wendesday to the church basement and there the excitement would begin.
She would start off with the free bingo games, just to get warmed up, and she would move on tp the hard core games, for real money and high stakes. She would have an assortment of cards if front of her and as the dealer would call the numbers she would mark them down. The other old ladies would do the same and the game would go on and on. Sometimes I would sit on the floor and count the money, or play slots.
Eitherway, it was alot of fun, and I enjoyed myself a whole lot. At the end of the evening, after all the numbers had been drawn and all was settled my grandmother collected all her winnings and left the church. I went with her and looked forward to the next time I would have the chance to come with her to the bingo game that took place in the church basement.
