For all those people that love bingo, the Fontana Breakfast Lion Club will be hosting an all-day New Year's Day party that is filled with games, food and big, jackpot prizes.
According to Bingo Chairman Frank Bruce, the doors of the club will open at exactly 9:00 a.m. on January 1, 2007 for breakfast and will not close until 10:00 p.m. with a fun-filled day for bingo players. Bruce said that they will have a bingo marathon starting at 12:00 noon and ending at 5:30 p.m. They will also have a five-game session at a dollar per game as a New Year offer.
At the end of the 5 games, they will draw for the monthly free play of their regular bingo games on Mondays and for those playing in the Marathon, there will also be an added bonus of free breakfast. He added that they will also have an attendance appreciation drawing to show their gratitude for all of their Monday and Saturday players. The first prize is $1,000 and the second prize for the game is $500. They will also have a double action game with a $1,000 bonus game.
The Regular Bingo costs $10 for a pack of the six bingo cards, with the second pack of six bingo cards costing $5. Aside from the marathon and regular bingo, the Lion Club will also serve their players with an open-faced turkey dinner, which will cost $2 for the marathon session and $4 for the evening session, according to Bruce.
There will also be hamburgers, hot dogs, coffee and soda. The Breakfast Lions Club can be found at 16756 Arrow Boulevard. Throughout the year, the Lions Club offers Bingo on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 6:30 p.m.
