51,000 UK Pound Bingo Winner Shares Her Winnings

A cook from Widnes has won over 51,000 pounds while playing the game of bingo and the 48-year-old woman is sharing her winnings.

Bernadette Shepard has displayed integrity by keeping her promise to share the winnings with her sister-in-law and friend who play with her regularly at the Buckingham Club in Hunt's Cross, Liverpool.

Shepard is a married mother of five. Lady luck looked upon her on Monday, December 18th, when her numbers were announced in the bingo hall one by one. What Shepard won was the National bingo game, which had the prize of 50,000 pounds. In addition, she won the regional prize of 1,524 pounds and the house prize of 100 pounds. Shepard was able to complete a full house in 39 numbers - exactly what it took to win. It was the lowest call in any of the 500 bingo clubs playing nationwide.

Shepard is a longtime bingo player, having played the game for 18 years. She makes it a point to visit the Buckingham Club once a week. Her biggest win prior to this jackpot was 3,000 pounds 5 years ago.

Accordingly, Shepard remarked, 'It's completely unbelievable. I never thought I would ever win such a large sum of money. I thought I'd probably just win the house prize".
