Lions Bingo Club Funds Hi-Tech Center for Physically Challenged

On the 20th of January the Lions bingo club, located at Kensington, will offer hospitality for bingo players at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Center. All funds would be devoted for a new $31-million Hi-Tech center for physically challenged students of the University of the West Indies, Mona.

The center would offer services for students that suffer from physical impairments such as vision impairment, blindness or hearing difficulties. It would include Hi-Tech facilities such as Braille translation devices, modified class rooms for the physically challenged, library amenities and soundproof recording and examination rooms as well.

The 440-square meter center would be consisted of two floors and located near the main library and the housing facility Taylor Hall. The foundations of the building would be placed in the end of the month and finally constructions would begin after seven years from the first time the idea was conceived by the Lions Bingo Club.
